Ms. Ooton is head of ESG for Private Equity and an Operating Partner with the private equity group, Apollo Global Management, where she is responsible for advancing the firm’s ESG integration and operational performance across its private equity portfolio in a number of areas including energy usage, carbon emissions, water consumption, DEI and safety. Prior to joining Apollo in 2021, Ms. Ooton served as the vice president of Product Assurance, Risk and Security for Amazon, where she was instrumental in Amazon’s foundational sustainability efforts, calculating its initial carbon footprint and launching Amazon’s Climate Pledge. In addition, Ms. Ooton has held key leadership roles at The Coca-Cola Company, Cott Beverages, Bath & Body Works, Unilever and Tate & Lyle. Ms. Ooton holds a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences and chemistry and a master’s in Microbiology from Southern Illinois University.
