Chintan Sopariwala was appointed President of DRiV, Tenneco’s aftermarket business group in March 2024. The DRiV business includes more than 30 aftermarket brands, 15 of which have been providing customers with high quality products and services for more than a century. He is a member of the company’s executive leadership team. Sopariwala originally joined Tenneco in November 2022 as part of the company’s newly created Office of Strategic Execution where he was responsible for developing and implementing strategies for improving operational efficiency and achieving accelerated growth across the enterprise. Sopariwala is a business leader with a strong track record of driving revenue growth and margin improvements through innovation, operational effectiveness and a people centric culture. Before joining Tenneco, Sopariwala spent 11 years with Navistar Inc., a leading manufacturer of commercial trucks and school buses, advancing through positions of increasing responsibility, most recently as group vice president and general manager of Navistar’s aftermarket parts business. In this role he had complete P&L responsibility for the $2.2B+ aftermarket business including sales, product development and operations. Prior to Navistar, Sopariwala was with diversified industrial conglomerates such as Ingersoll Rand and United Technologies Corporation. He has been a keynote speaker at many industry conventions and also served on the board of Magnum Power Products, a remanufacturer of diesel engines and components. Sopariwala holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from National Institute of Technology, Surat – India, a master’s in mechanical engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from Texas A&M University.
