Tyler Best Executive Vice President, Chief Information Officer

Tyler Best joined Tenneco in February 2023 as Tenneco’s Chief Information Officer. He is a member of the company’s executive leadership team and is responsible for leading the company’s global information technology transformational strategies, digital operations and services, and data privacy and security functions. Best joined Tenneco after spending the previous four years at Adient, serving as the company’s Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer. Prior to that, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Hertz Global Holdings. From 2003 to 2014, Best served as a Transformation Executive with Cerberus Capital Management. During that time, he held the position of either CIO or CTO for YP (formerly Yellow Pages), Ally Financial, and Vanguard Car Rental (Alamo and National Brands). Best holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Michigan State University and an MBA from the University of Michigan-Dearborn. He serves as an Advisory Board Member for Upstream Security, LTG, an Israeli-based company that is developing a comprehensive automotive cybersecurity solution, purpose-built for protecting connected vehicles. In addition to his professional career in IT, Best has spent more than 20 years serving as a youth hockey coach in Michigan. More than 50 of the kids he’s coached have gone on to play hockey in college, and nine have reached the NHL.
